the new Wal-Mart going up in Mineral Wells.  A huge building and only one of three of this type Wal-Mart's being constructed in the U.S.  It will have all kinds of items including a grocery department, etc. Things are changing here as people move toward the west.

The daughter of Sam Walden lives just south of Mineral Wells and I guess is responsible for such a store, a Super Wal-Mart.  This store faces east to FM Road 1821 just across from the high school and the Department of Public Safety building.  The whole area is being consumed including a motel where another entrance will be constructed to enter off highway 180.  Property just north will be new restaurants constructed and other property being torn down for new businesses.  A whole new city.

Construction work along FM 1821 for new Wal-Mart.  Across the street can be seen the Texas Department of Public Safety and then entrance to the high school.  Oh, yes, I just heard that a new Walgreen will be constructed on this side also
