More History of Mineral Wells

The picture is on p. 148 of A.F. Weaver's book "TIME WAS In Mineral Wells." The caption reads, "Palo Pinto County Boys' and Girls' Clubs and Junior Rotary Band at the Bank of Mineral Wells to receive pure-bred eggs distributed free by the bank, March 11." The bank, located at 102 SE 1st. Ave., was Mineral Wells' first bank. It went broke in 1924, and the building was then used by Ball Drug and Massengale's Appliances before being torn down to make room for more downtown parking
