There is some controversy as to the location shown in this photograph. Two notes on back of the picture read "So. of city on 281", and "Lake M W." (Lake Mineral Wells is west of the city.) The picture appears to be taken just east of Inspiration point looking southwest
where the highway starts down the mountain. The area was a popular picnic spot from the
30's to the 50's.
